For the 2023 call, CIF has decided on the following changes:
- Criteria for the applicant for project grants: The main applicant must be employed by the academic institution at the start of the project. The possibility of being an affiliated researcher is removed, except for clinicians.
- For postdocs, the time from the dissertation changes from seven to five years. The purpose of the grant is to support research merit toward associate professorships.
- Research relating to children's and youth sports or elite sports are no longer priority areas. This means that projects that affect these areas will not be given priority over other areas when granting.
- Information that a data management plan (DMP) should be created has been added.
